The Church and Congregtion of St. Paul the Apostle, St. Paul's River

St. Paul's church is located on the waterfront overlooking a stunningly beautiful bay, which is surrounded by typical "Coastal" hills. The building is the largest in the parish and may be the largest on the coast.

The community is relatively stable with an average Sunday attendance of 30-40 and the average age being close to 45. The community's population is near 425 persons, the congregation consists of 128 families. Meeting in the morning at 10:00 AM this church would seem familiar to many suburban Anglicans, with a good mix of traditional hymns and modern songs. The liturgy is primarily from the Book of Alternative Services and is always Eucharistic so long as the incumbent is present.

The ACW is very active and quite young, around 45-50. They run all major events in the life of the parish. St. Paul's has two active Lay Readers who are both in Theological Studies in the Reading and Tutorial Course in Theology at Montreal Diocesan Theological College.

This picture was taken on the First Sunday of Advent 2004 when the Archbishop, the Most Rev'd Bruce Stavert, visited his former parish. The picture below shows a view of the church from the celebrant's point of view over the altar.
